Hudson River Estuary - A map that shows the landforms and waterways with a border of the names given to the river by the Indigenous people, the French, the Dutch and the English. Giclée print 19” x 24”
Inspired by the book Landmarks by Robert Macfarlane that included a glossary of land words from the British Isles, I searched for the old words for water forms (from the Dutch and English and Hudson Valley geology) to create this piece.
